2009 Chenin BlancPrice: $15.00 Appellation: Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, Washington State Varietals: 100% Chenin Blanc Vineyard: Andrews Vineyard Winemaker Comments: Whole clusters were pressed directly into tank, and allowed to settle for 3 days. The juice was then racked into three fermentation tanks, where the wine was fermented at 55 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 weeks. A light fining took place in late January, and the wine was filtered and bottled late February 2010. Tasting Notes: A beautiful medium body Chenin blanc with melon, nectarine, and soft honey notes. Dry and crisp with generous acidity, the wine flows with striking notes of citrus and grapefruit. Balanced from start to finish, a refreshing aperitif, and perfect accompaniment to shellfish and garden vegetables. Aging: Aged in Stainless steel tanks for 5 months prior to bottling in February 2010. Production: 450 cases |
