Big fruit, firm tannins, and bright acidity are the characteristics of fruit from Stone Tree Vineyard, situated on a gently sloping hillside in the Wahluke Slope AVA. Bounded by the Columbia River and the Saddle Mountains, this wine-growing region has produced some of the highest quality wine grapes in the state. And thanks to extraordinary management by Tedd Wildman, an absolute perfectionist, the vineyard is always in picture perfect condition. Tedd has planted many of the Bordeaux and Rhone varietals throughout the vineyard and, because it’s a very early ripening site, Stone Tree always produces the first fruit to come into our winery. We relish working with Tedd, and expect great things to continue to come from this exceptional vineyard.
